¡Nueva web inaugurada! / New website launch!

Soy feliz al anunciaros que por fin queda inaugurada mi página web, mardelvalle.com.

Una nueva guarida, pulcra, blanca, gestionada por mí. Los que estáis acostumbrados al refugio oscuro y cálido de mi blog, no os asustéis: todo es parte de lo mismo, esto sólo son las cúpulas, sabéis, y hay unas vistas preciosas.

Aún me falta pulir algunos detalles: la sección "Tiendas", por ejemplo, por el momento sólo puede ser mostrada en español. Pero necesito ayuda informática externa para solucionarlo, lo cual puede llevar a un periodo de espera un poco absurdo; ya que, al fin y al cabo, tanto Etsy como Society6 resultan perfectamente accesibles desde los enlaces de redes.
Así que lancémonos: atravesad las puertas, dormid entre las flores, buscaos en los espejos (y luego me decís qué habéis hallado). Coged un pastelillo, tomemos un té. Bailemos como si nos fuera la vida en ello, como siempre.

My gorgeous beings:

I'm so happy to announce the launch of my website, mardelvalle.com.

This new den is neat, white, tidy, run by myself.  Those who are used to the dark and warm refuge that is my blog, please, don't be afraid: everything is part of the same thing, this is just the dome, you know, and it has such a marvelous view.

There are still some details left to fix: the "Shops" section, for example, is only available in Spanish for the moment. But I will need some extra (programmer) assistance with that, and it can take a while, and keeping the whole website hidden would be a bit absurd taking into account that both my Etsy and Society6 stores are perfectly accessible from the social network icons placed below.

So go through the gates, sleep among the flowers, search for yourself into the mirrors (and then tell me what you have found). Have a cake, enjoy a cup of tea. Let's dance like there is no tomorrow, as always.

Pasada la tormenta...

Ayer nos dejamos empapar juntos por la tormenta, y fue infinitamente dulce.

Gracias a las maravillosas personas de La Paca, delicioso refugio vintage cuyos sillones, espejos, columnas y luz dorada me cautivan siempre: esta gente encantadora e infatigable, acogiendo y gestionando la presentación en semejante entorno primoroso, me hizo sentir una vez más como felizmente acurrucada en un rincón de casa.
Gracias a Sara Morales, por su amabilidad, su sonrisa y su inestimable reportaje fotográfico.
Gracias a Álex Portero, por haberme ofrecido crear un marco visible para ese sacrificio-masacre con forma de libro, y por querer asesinarnos con él mientras nos acaricia, mientras nos ruge, mientras nos susurra (poco más puedo añadir al respecto que no haya dicho anteriormente, enloquecida).
Y gracias, miles de gracias a todos los que promovisteis y/o vinisteis al evento, desconocidos (tal vez por conocer), conocidos (tal vez a conocer más) e inestimables sangres mías, por acudir a dejaros arrastrar por el crudo, feroz, desgarrador y voluptuoso fragor de la tormenta.

Nos vemos danzando bajo la lluvia.

Por fin, mis seres. Desperezaos como gatos polvorientos, desplegad vuestra belleza, sacudíos (o recomponed) las flores secas:

El martes 25 de marzo a las 20:30, la tempestad cantará sobre vuestros hombros. Álex Portero presentará su poemario La próxima tormenta en el delicioso café bar La Paca, y muchas, muchos, Todas estaremos allí para impregnar nuestras frentes con mirra, fuego y cristal líquido.

Os esperamos con nuestras mejores galas. Y no olvidéis traer vuestro puñal: nunca se sabe qué podremos necesitar.

Next Tuesday 25th at 20:30, the storm will sing over your shoulders. Álex Portero will be presenting his book "La próxima tormenta" in the delicious café-pub La Paca, and many of us, all of Us will be there to stain your foreheads with myrrh, fire and liquid glass. 

We will wear our best garments. And don't forget to bring your own dagger: you never know what we may need.

Finally, my Etsy store Little Lair of Bones is properly translated to English (or so I hope). There are some new cameos available, and soon there will be postcards. Treat them well, and they will tell you superb tales at dusk.

If you purchase a cameo, prick your finger with the pin and send me a pretty photograph, you will make me happy. Or you can take the photograph and leave out the pricking part as well.

Besides, I have taken up and brought up to date my professional facebook. And I'm yearning to invite you to dance, you know…?

"La próxima tormenta", disponible en tinta y sangre

Como dije en una entrada anterior, Álex Portero me preguntó muy delicadamente un día si me gustaría ilustrar la portada de su poemario La próxima tormenta, el cual iba a ser publicado en breve por Origami.

Yo, como muchos sabéis, albergo una poderosa atracción hacia ciertas clases de suicidio. Este libro es plata pura, de la que muerde, la que reverdece con las lunas, la que cae por las mejillas negras de las vírgenes, la que os hace retorceros impúdicamente sobre la cama y en la ciega tumba invicta de la tierra.

La próxima tormenta ya está en librerías. Id a por vuestro puñal sacrificial y morid.

As I said a couple of post ago, Álex Portero asked me delicately one day if I would like to illustrate the cover of his book "La próxima tormenta" (which could be translated as "The forthcoming storm"), that was going to be published by Origami.

As many of you know, I hold a strong attraction towards certain kinds of suicide. This book is pure silver, the kind of silver that bites, the kind of silver that grows green again with the moons, the one that flows over the black cheeks of virgins, the one that makes you writhe lewdly over your bed and inside the unconquered blind tomb of the earth.

"La próxima tormenta" is now on sale at bookstores. Go for your sacrificial dagger and die.
